Day 4 | Arcades & Aquariums

We woke up yesterday morning to a very grey, cloudy and rainy Newquay. Everything which we had planned to do was an outdoor activity, which we now couldn’t do, so instead we dressed up in our waterproof coats and headed out for a day of shopping.

We bought a few gifts for our lovelies back home along with Kieran treating me to a beautiful new ring from Chamillia. I have wanted it for ages and have never been able to get a size that fits, but they had one so it was meant to be!

Being in Cornwall, it would be rude for us not to have a pasty for dinner at least a couple of times, so that is just what we did. I followed it up with a gorgeous Strawberry and Banana smoothie from a lil smoothie shack on the beach.

We then headed into the arcades to play some games. Pac-Man, Basketball, Air-Hockey and many of the other games which you win tickets on. Not that any of the prizes which you win with them are worth the price they cost to get them aha!

Once we had finished in the arcade, we popped down to the Blue Reef Aquarium which is on the beach front to see some of the beautiful marine animals.

We then went back to our room for a little while to decide what we were going to do in the evening in the rain. We firstly planned to go to the cinemas, but as I was falling asleep at 5pm, we decided that it wouldn’t be the best idea aha!

So instead we caught a taxi and went to play bowling at a local hotel. We had 2 games, Kieran won the first and I won the second, although I was only 1 point behind him on the first game too. We spent a little time chatting to the lovely man who worked there and he was showing us how to spin the ball, so cool.

Much to our surprise, once we had finished our games of bowling the rain had cleared and the skies were beautifully blue again! So we went for a walk down to Fistral beach and decided to walk back to the Hotel rather than catching a taxi. I really can’t believe how quickly the weather can change to beautiful sunshine here.

The sunset looked so beautiful that no sooner had we got back to the room, we popped our shoes back on and went back outside to watch the sun go down over the sea. It honestly was one of the most beautiful things that I have ever seen. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the colours which the sun had turned it were absolutely gorgeous. Breathtaking!

Lets hope that today stays as sunny as last night was!

love, Leanne xx
