Monthly Favourites | May 2016

Can this month have flown by any faster, I think not! I feel like I blinked and almost missed May this year! The weather has been beautiful for the most part and I have had a month filled with buying treats, naughty girl!

I’ve picked out a few things which I have been really enjoying throughout May to show you. Here goes:

Bodyshop Wonderblur

I have already raved about this in its very own post (have a lil read here, if you fancy), but I have been absolutely loving this stuff!

I have been wearing it every single day since it landed in my makeup drawer. It just makes my skin SO god-damn smooth and my makeup applies and stays on beautifully when I use it.

Revlon HD Matte Lip Colour | Devotion

This lil beauty has also already made an appearance before (again, have a lil read here). I have found myself reaching for the shade Devotion over any of the others that I have, almost daily (with the exception of the odd day wearing my beloved Mac Velvet Teddy).

The more that I have worn it, the more I have come to learn that in order to achieve a matte effect without waiting for it to dry, the trick is to not apply too much product. The pigmentation of it stays the same, just don’t get too lipstick happy!

It is such a beautiful dusty pink colour, perfect for adding a little more colour into my normally very neutral face. Especially with the beautiful spring sunshine!

Sleek Contouring & Blush Palette – Highlighter

Now, I have had this palette for a very long time, and as you can see it has been very well loved and used. However, it got pushed to the back of the drawer as I gathered new products in my collection. But this month I have been absolutely loving the highlighter in this lil trio and have found myself reaching for it ALOT.

It is a beautiful champagney colour with a slight hint of pink and is gorgeous when applied. It isn’t glittery or too sparkly, but leaves a beautiful, soft shimmer. I normally apply it in a ‘C’ shape along my cheek bone and just under my eyebrow, then a touch down the centre of my nose.

Lukas Graham

Oh boy, this guy can sing!

I have had Lukas Graham’s album’s on repeat all month! I am in love!

I have been listening to both his first album, released in 2012, and his newest album, SO much. His songs go from being very inspirational and emotional, to singing about girls in a strip club. Such a mixture of ballads and upbeat songs, but it just works!

Both me and my boyfriend have been  o b s e s s e d  and have been belting them out shamelessly on almost every car journey.

Vampire Diaries – Season 7

Vampire Diaries, Vampire Diaries, Vampire Diaries.

This month I have rekindled my forever love with Vampire Diaries whilst catching up on Season 7.

I get so emotionally attached to it that I sometimes worry myself. Is it normal to feel like it is a parallel life of yours? Maybe I am too invested aha!

It is just SO. DAMN. GOOD.

Seriously, if you haven’t seen it, you need to! But be prepared for it to take over your life completely, you will find yourself binge watching at all times of the day. And with 22 episodes per season, you have a lot of catching up to do! Now go, go, go!

Blogging
Can I even include this as a favourite? It kinda feels like a cheat, but I have been absolutely loving blogging this month! I know that I am still only 2 months in, but it has already been so much fun!

It has given me a reason to start taking photographs again, and has made me think about and appreciate the things that I do in life a little bit more! There is just something about having a record of the things that I do, think about and love in one little space that makes me feel so happy. I can’t wait to see what is yet to come!

Let me know what you have been loving this month.

love, Leanne xx

  1. I have been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting
article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me.

In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as
you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.
