Back in January, I started using the Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation (which is incredible) and having never used a powdered or mineral foundation before was slightly worried that it wouldn’t last on my oily face. I wanted to find a primer to use which would give the powder a base to stick to on my face, along with smoothing and evening out my skin. I had already got Benefit’s The Porefessional, which I don’t seem to get on with, and The Bodyshop’s Instablur, which I love!
I had heard Gabby (VelvetGh0st) talking about Wonderblur in a video months ago and for some reason it had stuck in my head that when I ran out of Instablur, I would be buying it. It is slightly more pricey than Instablur so was still unsure of which to buy, however after asking the lovely lady in the shop, she recommended that with oily skin Wonderblur would be better – I was sold!
It has definitely not disappointed me! It has a smooth silicon like texture and makes my face feel SO SOFT. It is quite thick, but seems to go quite far, I can cover my face with a slightly larger than pea-sized amount. It glides onto your skin beautifully, but doesn’t leave it feeling slippery, which is what put me off Benefit Porefessional.
When I used it for the first time, I applied the rest of makeup as I would normally do and was blown away by how smooth and flawless my foundation had applied, literally looked airbrushed! I am in love. Along with this, it also keeps my foundation in place for much longer than if I was to not use a primer at all. I’m not sure if its just me, but if I don’t apply it I feel like there is nothing on my face to hold the powder on my face and it doesn’t last as long.
The only thing that I would say that I don’t love about this product is the scent. It kinda reminds me of a cheap car air freshener and lets it down slightly, but I’m getting used to it, and it wouldn’t put me off buying it again. Its just to amazing! *insert love-heart eyed emoji*
If you are looking for a primer which applies smoothly and does the job perfectly, then give it a whirl! Let me know how you get on!
love, Leanne xx
